Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently. This role involves working on various types of heavy equipment and vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related components.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks, including tire service, wheel end and fabrication of parts as needed.
- Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers safely during repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair work.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working in the shop or field.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role within automotive repair.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures and heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics related to diesel engines.
- Proficient in fabricating parts and performing tire service tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to diesel mechanics are a plus.
