Millwork Service Technician for Doors and Windows
Job Location: Based out of Bay Minette, Alabama 36507 / Services Mobile and Baldwin Counties
Description: The Millwork Service Technician installs and provides service work for millwork products, such as windows, doors, and trim, sold to customers by Mobile Lumber in the field with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
- Must have own tools
- Must have prior experience installing or assuring quality control of Millwork products
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Must be self-motivated
- Valid driver’s license and clean MVR
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and some weekends
- A willingness to travel outside of territory on rare occasions (home every night)
- A willingness to maintain professional appearance
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance and 150 pounds with assistance
- Continuously stand, squat, bend, stoop, twist, climb, reach, walk and kneel
- Must be able to commute to Bay Minette, Alabama
Responsibilities:
- This is a HANDS-ON, in-field position
- Follow all safety requirements including the safe operation of a company vehicle
- Install or repair interior and exterior doors, windows and or sliding glass doors
- Replace sidelights, glass inserts, window or door glass, door panels
- Repair thresholds and exterior/interior moulding on doors or windows
- Troubleshoot issues on the jobsite
- Efficiently manage time and schedule appointments
- Communicate in a professional manner with contractors, homeowners, customers concerning work to be performed or already performed
- Maintain inventory of company-provided materials
- Complete paperwork for each job daily
