Fleet Mechanic Job description:Since 2005, Mobile Fleet Management, Inc has been a leading and well-trusted fleet maintenance provider for major fleet companies in Southern California. We are a privately owned company seeking highly motivated individuals with mechanic experience. Candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to perform repairs on fleet vehicles, bumper to bumper. Excellent pay opportunity with health insurance benefits. Work is based out of Fontana, CA. Serious applicants only.The ideal candidates must meet the following expectations:Must have a minimum of 5 years of mechanical experience on light to medium-duty trucksFavorable DMV driving recordMust have own toolsPass a pre-employment background checkAbility to stay organized and keep proficient paperworkAbility to work independently, manage time and multitaskPass a drug testMust be able to communicate effectively and professionallySpeak, write, read, and understand EnglishWilling to work a flexible schedulePhysical ability and mobility to repeatedly work overhead, kneel, crawl, push, pull and climb as required by task.Must be able to frequently lift 25 to 50 pounds.ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate proficiency in the repair and diagnosis of: Engines, power train to include differentials, clutches, driveshafts, PTO's and wheel ends, Electrical systems including starters and alternators, HVAC systems, Steering systems, Electronics to include ECM's, ECU's, sensors etc., Engine bolt-on items such as turbos, fan clutches, injectors, cooling system etc., Brake systems including ABS, Suspension systems (spring and air)Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts, and pressure gauges.Read, understand, and apply mechanical, electrical, fuel, and schematics if necessary to perform repairPerform all levels of preventive maintenance services and DOT inspectionsRoad test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly.Travel to work sites, work effectively in a mobile environment (company truck provided)Maintain a clean mobile vehicle and work area appearanceMaintain a safe work environment under all circumstancesCompany DescriptionMobile Fleet Management has been in business for over 20 years, providing quality service to its customers and longevity to our employees.
