Job description:
Since 2005, Mobile Fleet Management, Inc has been a leading and well-trusted fleet maintenance provider for major fleet companies in Southern California. We are a privately owned company seeking highly motivated individuals with mechanic experience. Candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to perform repairs on fleet vehicles, bumper to bumper. Excellent pay opportunity with health insurance benefits. Work is based out of Fontana, CA. The ideal candidates must meet the following expectations:
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of mechanical experience on light to medium-duty trucks
- Favorable DMV driving record
- Must have own tools
- Pass a pre-employment background check
- Ability to stay organized and keep proficient paperwork
- Ability to work independently, manage time and multitask
- Pass a drug test
- Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally
- Speak, write, read, and understand English
- Willing to work a flexible schedule
- Physical ability and mobility to repeatedly work overhead, kneel, crawl, push, pull and climb as required by task.
- Must be able to frequently lift 25 to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate proficiency in the repair and diagnosis of: Engines, power train to include differentials, clutches, driveshafts, PTO's and wheel ends, Electrical systems including starters and alternators, HVAC systems, Steering systems, Electronics to include ECM's, ECU's, sensors etc., Engine bolt-on items such as turbos, fan clutches, injectors, cooling system etc., Brake systems including ABS, Suspension systems (spring and air)
- Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts, and pressure gauges.
- Read, understand, and apply mechanical, electrical, fuel, and schematics if necessary to perform repair
- Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services and DOT inspections
- Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly.
- Travel to work sites, work effectively in a mobile environment (company truck provided)
- Maintain a clean mobile vehicle and work area appearance
- Maintain a safe work environment under all circumstances
