Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive construction estimates by reviewing plans, specifications, and project requirements using tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid software.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand project scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
- Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Prepare accurate bid proposals that reflect current market prices while ensuring profitability.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing and terms that align with project budgets.
- Assist in contract review and support project management teams throughout the bidding process.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, bid submissions, and related documentation for future reference and audits.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating or a related role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, site operations, and cost control strategies.
- Familiarity with estimating software such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar tools.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with vendors, subcontractors, and clients.
- Experience working on construction sites or in construction management is highly desirable.
- Excellent understanding of contracts, project management principles, and cost analysis techniques.
