Manufacturing Manager
Summary/Objective
Seeking an experienced and results-oriented Manufacturing Manager to oversee all operations at our production facility. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with proven experience in streamlining manufacturing processes, managing personnel, and ensuring that all production goals are met efficiently and safely.
Assignment -Tasks/Responsibilities
- Production oversight: Plan, organize, and direct all daily manufacturing activities to ensure production schedules and customer demands are consistently met
- Team leadership: Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team, including supervisors and production staff. This includes training, evaluating performance, and resolving employee issues
- Performance management: Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) to drive continuous improvement
- Quality assurance: Ensure all products meet or exceed established quality standards and regulatory requirements. Identify and resolve production issues to prevent defects
- Process improvement: Utilize methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to identify and eliminate waste, improve efficiency, and reduce costs
- Safety and compliance: Uphold stringent adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA), promoting a culture of safety throughout the plant
- Cost management: Develop and manage production staffing requirements for direct and indirect labor, and control production expenses
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including manufacturing engineering, supply chain, quality, planning and sales, to ensure seamless operations and strategic alignment
- Promote a positive culture: Foster a positive, inclusive, and accountable workplace culture that promotes teamwork, open communication, continuous improvement, and employee engagement
- Employee engagement: Lead by example in upholding company values and creating an environment where employees feel respected and motivated
- Material management: Oversee the picking and replenishment of production material to all production areas
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Proven experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies
- Strong knowledge of safety and regulatory standards, such as OSHA
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Solid technical understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment
- Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) software
- Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management
- Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., English/Spanish)
- Experience in HVAC, sheet metal or automotive manufacturing industries
- Experience in managing outbound logistics and shipping
- SAP HANA experience
