What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Automotive Accessory Technician position at Mobile Clear Shield?
We are seeking Installer Technicians to become a part of our rapidly growing mobile team! You will assist with the installation and repair of paint protection film and other automotive accessories. We concentrate working directly with auto dealerships in a given area. We specialize on installing paint protection films in specific high traffic areas of cars. The edges of all doors, inside pocket of all door handles and the top area of rear bumpers. We also install infotainment screen protectors. Installation is quick and easy for all products we offer. Each vehicle takes approximately 6-15 minutes to install. Experienced installers can install approximately 15-75 cars on any given day, averaging 4-6 cars per hour for any average tech. Starting rate is $20.00/hour plus the opportunity for piece rate/bonuses.
Mobile Clear Shield provides full training. The training process can range from 2 weeks to a month. This is contingent on how fast the trainee can retain the skills, quality, and processes of installing our products. Part of the training consists of learning how to use our application which runs on the iOS platform. Having an iPhone will guarantee you a $15 monthly reimbursement for using your personal phone for work related tasks. Other skills that are part of the training process are, teaching our technicians the ins and out of working in a car dealership environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation and repair of paint protection film
- Able to keep tools, materials and supplies organized and clean.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Perform routine preventative maintenance
- Track all film and supplies
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Seeking some one who is comfortable working outdoors
- Must be able work in a organized manner
- Able to work 5-6 days a week
- Ability to meet their weekly quotas
- Must communicate with team
- Needs to have a personal vehicle to commute

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in working outdoors, installation of paint protection film or vinyl wraps and decals is a plus but not necessary, or other related fields
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Ability to work well in teams
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Must have basic math knowledge
- Must be physically fit to be able to crouch, kneel or bend down while working on specific vehicles
- Auto Dealership experience is a plus but not mandatory
“Tech savvy” is able to work with a smart phone.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
