This is routine and moderately complex clerical record keeping and related activities for the court system.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Graduation from a standard senior high school, or the successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test, supplemented by course work in typing, accounting or bookkeeping and a minimum of one year's clerical experience in a court or law office; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.

Special Requirement

Must become certified as a Magistrate/Court Clerk by the Alabama Administrative Office of the Courts within two years of employment as a Court Clerk I and must attend annual maintenance courses as required to maintain certification.For details, please see the Class Specifications | COURT CLERK I | Class Spec Details.
