Auto Body Technician

We are seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician to join our team with a unique opportunity for long-term growth and leadership. Over time, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of the operation, including repair processes, customer relationships, estimating, workflow management, and daily shop operations.

The Auto Body Technician will be responsible for performing body repairs,  dent removal, , and refinishing preparation. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining excellent safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality collision and auto body repairs according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
• Inspect damaged vehicles and determine the necessary repair procedures.
• Repair and replace damaged body panels, bumpers, fenders, doors, hoods, and other exterior components.
• Perform dent repairs, metal straightening, body filler application, sanding, and surface preparation.
• Complete structural and cosmetic repairs following proper repair procedures.
• Remove, install, and align vehicle components including:
• • Body panels
  • Trim pieces
  • Lights
  • Bumpers
  • Grilles
  • Mirrors
  • Doors and hoods

• Prepare vehicles for paint by ensuring surfaces are properly repaired, smooth, and ready for refinishing.
• Perform tear-down and reassembly of vehicles after repairs.
• Follow repair estimates and ensure work is completed within expected timelines.
• Maintain accurate documentation of completed repairs and parts used.
• Ensure all repairs meet quality control standards before vehicle delivery.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all OSHA, workplace safety, and equipment safety guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with estimators, painters, technicians, and management.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional auto body repair experience.
• Strong knowledge of collision repair processes and automotive body systems.
• Experience with:
• • Dent repair
  • Panel replacement
  • Body filler and sanding techniques
  • Vehicle disassembly and reassembly
  • Structural and cosmetic repairs
  • Collision damage assessment
• Ability to read and understand repair estimates and work orders.
• Experience using auto body tools and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE certifications a plus.

• Experience working with aluminum and advanced vehicle materials.
• Experience with OEM repair procedures.
• Paint preparation experience preferred.
• Experience working on domestic, European, and Asian vehicle brands.
