Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Supervise retail sales team members, providing guidance and support to achieve sales goals
- Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize sales potential
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism, ensuring high levels of satisfaction through excellent customer service
- Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new employees
- Manage cash handling, POS systems, and payroll processes accurately and efficiently
- Implement training and development programs to enhance team skills and operational knowledge
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or in a supervisory role within the retail industry
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills, including managerial communication and phone etiquette
- Proficiency with POS systems, inventory control, and basic bookkeeping practices
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, sales management, and operational management
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are preferred for effective communication with diverse customers and staff
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail in pricing, merchandising, and stock management
- Ability to handle cash handling responsibilities accurately while maintaining compliance with company policies
- Experience in retail math, budgeting, shift management, and employee orientation is highly desirable
