Description:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to company standards, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and ensuring food safety at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is cooked and presented with consistent quality
- Maintain a clean and organized work station
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with prep work and stock rotation as needed
- Communicate effectively with team members and kitchen leadership
- Handle multiple orders in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
- Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred (restaurant or food service) Caribbean
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Work in hot and fast-paced kitchen conditions
