MISSION STATEMENT
The Account Manager’s main goal will be to develop the brand’s universe of flagship accounts for the full brand portfolio for the High Energy channel (Night and Day club, Loud music restaurant). The Account Manager will develop, nurture, and solidify the brands' flagship strategy. They will focus on selective distribution in top volume and image accounts for MHUSA Brands; with an eye towards identifying new accounts with a long-term view.
They will develop and maintain relationships key stakeholders to inspire, educate, build reputation, and grow visibility for the portfolio. The position will also be the face of the portfolio among the community, owning and driving relationships with key decision makers. Main outcome should be to drive consumer pull and desirability in key accounts through activations that elevate quality of execution, luxury perception and consumer experiences.
In addition, the High Energy Account Manager will work with the High Energy Experiential team to develop synergies and creative ideas to increase distribution and sales across these three portfolios’: and be an asset for the Regional Brand Manager and Private Client team.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand planning
- Build a brand plan for the account universe in line with the brand programs
- Budget management and planning to optimize the resources and ensure no over or underspend.
- Manage all resources available to maximize the impact, POS, BG support, winemaker visits, etc.
- Monthly reporting on execution progress (Programs, distribution and sales)
- Monthly reconciliation of budget
Business Management
- Manage universe of key accounts
- Build relationships that allow you to relate to the consumer
- Implement pull marketing strategies
- Develop and execute creative and robust marketing programs (MHPs)
- Manage budget to drive value
- Work hand in hand with private client
Account Management
- Build a relationship with all key accounts
- Ensure full distribution of the Portfolio
- Ensure all accounts are properly trained
- Proactively recruit new relevant accounts into the flagship universe
- Proactively identify and create new account relationships by leveraging personal & professional network of sommeliers and beverage decision makers
- Lead brand trainings for sommeliers, waitstaff, managers, floor personnel, distributor network, and sales teams.
- Work with MHUSA regions to organize and implement winemaker visits in U.S.
Execution
- Lead the execution and host of events in your account universe
- Oversee the team’s executional excellence on day-to-day events (Dinners, partner nights, product launch, etc.).
- Work collaboratively with Experiential team, including activation specialist to execute high level activations
- Develop, oversee, monitor, and maintain the highest quality standards of retail executions in order to deliver annual depletion and sales targets
- Oversee POS, feature, and display / features activities to ensure flawless execution and maximum effectiveness
- Direct menu, back bar, POS, display, parades, shelving and other merchandising standards to ensure best in class execution while maximizing effectiveness during key selling periods
Profile
Trade Education/Engagement
- Host brand events including dinners, master classes, tastings, etc.
- Conduct in-depth tastings with fine wine retailers and other wine amateur groups.
- Work with the MH private client team to explore opportunities and develop new business (B2B/B2C)
- Establish and cultivate relationships with gatekeepers, particularly trade influencers
- Identify key business opportunities
- Be the “eyes and ears” of the Brand in the field
- Alert Brand team with issues and opportunities
QULIFICATION, EPERIENCE, & SKILLS REQUIRED
Education: Undergraduate Degree; concentration in Business or Hospitality Management a plus
Languages: English
Skills/Qualifications:
- 5 -8 years’ experience with established network of Networks in Restaurant and night industry
- Account management skills
- Demonstrate an understanding of supplier brand strategies (pricing,
- promotion, and placement)
- Strong leadership, motivation and persuasive communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, power point, word, etc).
- Wine expert. Guild of Sommelier (Advanced or Master preferred) and/or WSET certification (level 3 or Diploma).
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Embodies and identifies with luxury brand values.
- Good understanding of the three-tier system.
- Budget management experience
- Excellent administrative and time management skills.
- Ability to work with many stakeholders.
- Language: English, French & Spanish are a plus.
- Willingness to work evening hours and weekends, when needed.
- Efficient time management skills
