MN Tech Services is an IT Consulting and Managed Services Provider with over 30 years of combined technology and business experience located in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. We provide end-to-end technology solutions including hardware, networking, communications, security, and user training. We are seeking a part-time or contract IT Support Consultant, with potential to transition to full-time as our business needs grow.
Role Description:
This role will serve as the primary point of contact for customer support requests and will provide support across multiple client environments. This role requires exceptional customer service skills as well as strong technical & problem‑solving skills. The IT Support Consultant will document systems and processes and train end users on software and technology tools. Support will be provided both remotely and on-site up to three days per week near Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, with additional on-site work at client locations as required. This person will need to have a strong work ethic and work with the customer’s best interests in mind. There is a potential for full-time work in the future as the company grows.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues for multiple clients while maintaining clear, accurate documentation of all work performed
- Support system deployments, infrastructure upgrades, and platform implementations across diverse environments
- Collaborate with managers and technical teams to troubleshoot complex problems and ensure stable, reliable operations for client systems
- Deliver both remote and on‑site technical support to a varied client base, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of client systems, procedures, configurations, and critical operational processes
- Provide user training on hardware, software, and best practices to improve productivity and reduce recurring issues
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
- Experience with ticketing systems, remote monitoring & management (RMM) tools preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or technical consulting.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows and macOS systems, Microsoft 365 administration, Intune, identity management, and basic networking.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot issues across endpoints, infrastructure, and SaaS applications.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to support and train non‑technical users.
- Highly organized with strong documentation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- IT certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, etc.) are beneficial but not required
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
