We are looking for the right candidate to join our yard team at MN Fence Supply. MN Fence Supply is a fencing material wholesaler that provides material solutions to fencing contractors. We are willing to provide forklift training if you are the right fit for our team. Previous experience with forklifts or skidsteer equipment is a plus.
In this position, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of our yard, ensuring that it operates efficiently. Your responsibilities will range from organizing and securing inventory to assisting with loading and unloading products. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work outside in various weather conditions. This is a safety critical position and will be required to pass a background check and drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate equipment such as sit-down propane forklifts and manual pallet jacks to move inventory and materials within the yard
- Ensure proper storage and organization of merchandise, keeping track of inventory and effectively utilizing available space
- Perform regular inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring that all products are handled with care and accuracy
- Maintain a clean and tidy yard, including sweeping, picking up debris, and disposing of waste in designated areas
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, providing updates on tasks and addressing any concerns or issues promptly
- Learn and assist with gate fabrication duties in the welding shop.
- Assist with quarterly inventory cycle counts.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of fence materials for chain link, wood, vinyl, and ornamental fence types.
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Ability to operate various equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, with accuracy and safety
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods
- Attention to detail and ability to organize inventory effectively
- Knowledge of safety protocols and dedication to maintaining a safe work environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
