Key responsibilities:
- Provide basic and advanced life support (BLS/ALS) within the Paramedic scope of practice
- Safely operate and maintain emergency vehicles in compliance with state and local regulations
- Deliver competent, compassionate patient care in a variety of clinical and transport settings
- Effectively apply EMS protocols and procedures in various situations
- Communicate professionally with patients, families, healthcare personnel, and team members
- Document patient care accurately using our electronic charting system
- Assist fellow EMS providers and provide thorough handoff reports
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness and restock supplies as needed
- Demonstrate ethical conduct and a commitment to patient care and safety
Required qualifications:
- Current Paramedic certification/license (state-specific requirements apply)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
Physical demands:
- Ability to safely operate EMS vehicles and essential equipment
- Ability to bend, sit, kneel, and lift up to 125 lbs; push/pull over 50 lbs
- Maintain physical agility for safe patient handling in demanding environments
- Tolerate extended periods of driving or riding in an ambulance
- Perform effectively in physically strenuous and emotionally challenging situation
