Role Description The Sheet Metal Worker will perform hands-on fabrication tasks, including measuring, cutting, forming, and assembling sheet metal components according to drawings and specifications. Daily responsibilities include operating hand tools and basic shop equipment, fitting and installing parts, and assisting with welding and finishing processes as needed. The role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and inspecting work for accuracy and quality. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Grabill, IN, working closely with a small team to complete custom fabrication projects on schedule.
Qualifications
- Metalworking and Sheet Metal skills, including cutting, forming, and assembling components.
- Proficiency with Hand Tools commonly used in fabrication and shop environments.
- Basic Welding abilities and willingness to support welding operations when required.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or sketches.
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to lift and move materials as part of daily tasks.
- Previous experience in metal fabrication or a related trade; vocational training or apprenticeship is beneficial.
