Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our mobile wound care team. This position involves traveling to provide advanced wound care management including assessment, treatment, and follow-up care. ***Signing bonus for qualified candidates ***
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of wound etiology, stage, and other relevant conditions.
- Develop and implement wound management plans based on current standards of practice and evidencebased research.
- Apply appropriate wound dressings and perform necessary procedures such as debridement, applying compression wraps, initiating negative pressure wound therapy, and Human Cellular and/or Tissue Based Products.
- Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on wound care techniques and prevention strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Provide telehealth consultations as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while driving to and from patient locations.
Qualifications:
- Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Michigan.
- Certification in wound care preferred (e.g., CWCN, CWS, or CWCA).
- Experience in wound care, dermatology, or related field.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Comfortable with technology including electronic medical records and mobile communication tools.
