Job Description:
MMR is seeking Preconstruction Engineer candidates with a degree in Construction Management or industry related equivalent. The responsibilities would include, but not limited to, the following:
- Perform engineered estimates and takeoffs for procurement
- Develop project budgets and project tracking systems
- Assist with building work packages for project execution teams
- Price materials and perform bulk buyouts
- Work with clients for front end trade coordination
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor and upper management
- BS in Construction Management or related field
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Field or Project Engineer in electrical construction is required
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawing packages and specifications
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, organize, problem solve, and exercise good judgement with minimal supervision
- Must have basic knowledge in estimating and controls
- Working knowledge of MS Office software
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under time pressure and/or deadline
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible, varying hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Regular and reliable attendance at work
