Job Summary
This position involves direct patient contact and communications in a fast paced dental environment. A multi-tasking skill-set is essential as this position will involve traditional dental assisting tasks and front office duties.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining aseptic technique and infection control standards.
- Take dental X-rays while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
- Manage medical documentation and records accurately within EMR systems such as Dentrix or OpenDental, ensuring compliance with medical coding and HIPAA guidelines.
- Support front desk operations as a dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow efficiently.
- Demonstrate proficiency in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Dental Assistant with current state licensure or registration.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures.
- Certified in Dental Radiology
- Strong understanding of dental terminology
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages and team members.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
