Job Description

We are seeking a professional, customer-focused, and sales-driven Jewelry Sales Associate to join our team. This position is responsible for creating an exceptional shopping experience by assisting customers in selecting jewelry that fits their needs, preferences, occasions, and budget.

The ideal candidate is personable, trustworthy, polished, and comfortable building relationships with customers while working toward individual and store sales goals. The Sales Associate will also assist with product presentation, inventory, transactions, and maintaining a professional and welcoming showroom environment.

Responsibilities

The Jewelry Sales Associate is responsible for delivering personalized customer service, understanding customer needs, recommending appropriate jewelry pieces, developing long-term customer relationships, and contributing to store sales goals.

The associate is also responsible for maintaining accurate product handling procedures, supporting inventory control, processing transactions, and ensuring jewelry is presented professionally and securely.

Duties

• Greet customers professionally and create a welcoming shopping experience.
• Identify customer needs, preferences, budget, and occasion through effective questions and conversation.
• Recommend jewelry based on the customer's individual needs.
• Explain product features, materials, styles, quality, care, and available options.
• Demonstrate jewelry and assist customers with comparing different pieces.
• Build relationships with customers and encourage repeat business.
• Follow up with customers regarding inquiries, special orders, or future purchases when appropriate.
• Meet or work toward individual and store sales goals.
• Suggest complementary products and additional pieces when appropriate.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the store's POS system.
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, receipts, and customer information responsibly.
• Assist with product displays and showroom presentation.
• Maintain accurate product organization and assist with inventory counts.
• Follow procedures for securely handling, displaying, and storing valuable merchandise.
• Maintain awareness of merchandise while assisting customers.
• Assist with special orders, repairs, exchanges, or customer requests according to store procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional sales environment.
• Work collaboratively with management and other sales associates.

Experience

Previous experience in jewelry sales, luxury retail, fashion, accessories, high-end retail, or consultative sales is preferred.

Candidates with strong retail sales or customer service experience may also be considered, particularly if they demonstrate the ability to build customer relationships and achieve sales goals.
