This role is responsible for managing the general ledger for assigned properties, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and ensuring accurate recording of revenue, expenses, accruals, and adjustments. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, monitoring cash flow, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. The Senior Accountant will coordinate with property management and leasing teams on tenant billing, CAM reconciliations, and rent rolls, and will assist with audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements. This position also contributes to process improvements, supports implementation of accounting policies and internal controls, and provides financial analysis and reporting to leadership.

Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliation for multi-entity or property-based environments.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow management, preferably in commercial real estate or property management.
- Advanced skills in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar) and Excel, including use of formulas, pivot tables, and financial models.
- Knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit processes, with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and support external auditors.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple deadlines and prioritize work independently.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and non-accounting stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or progress toward certification is preferred.
- Several years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including senior-level or supervisory responsibilities, ideally in real estate or a related industry.
