At MMGY, we inspire people to go places. MMGY has an immediate opening for a Creative Director in our Detroit, Michigan office. You’ll lead campaigns and guide the strategy for Pure Michigan, among other Michigan-based clients, so tourism experience and state and local knowledge is a must. The selected candidate will also play a pivotal role on a growing creative team. This position will require a confident, conceptual leader who challenges the expected within themselves and others. The candidate will regularly collaborate with Executive Creative Director on strategic direction for clients and new business opportunities. Ultimately, the Creative Director will be expected to lead by example and inspire their team to do unprecedented work. Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading Pure Michigan under the leadership of the Executive Creative Director
- Experience executing broadcast productions
- Prepare work for regular client-facing presentations
- Foster an energetic, team-centered work environment great for coming up with ideas
- Regularly mentor team members for greater personal and professional growth
- Maintain high standards through consistent evaluation of team contributions
- Improve the creative process of the team
- Form a tight relationship with the integrated account team, including Account Service, Strategy and Media
- Stay current on travel, campaign and technology trends
- Balance multiple projects and clients at once while working with Traffic to manage the team’s schedules
- Regular out-of-town travel required
- Industry related field and/or at least 8-years equivalent work experience
- Portfolio displaying an advanced understanding of conceptual ideation and integrated campaigns
- Strong time management, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Travel and tourism experience a plus
