We're hiring a part-time Portrait Photographer to join our studio team.
This is a permanent, weekend-only position averaging 10–25 hours per week, with weekend availability required.
Applicants should also be available to work during the New Mexico State Fair (September 10–20), one of our busiest times of the year. This is an excellent opportunity for additional hours and earning potential, with similar opportunities available during other busy seasons and special events throughout the year.

Compensation: $16/hr pay commission tips.
What You'll Do
- Photograph and direct portrait sessions while confidently posing individuals, couples, families, and groups.
- Create a fun, energetic atmosphere that helps clients feel relaxed and confident in front of the camera.
- Recommend and sell portrait packages while working toward individual sales goals.
- Thrive in a performance-based environment where exceptional customer service and strong sales skills are rewarded.
- Operate DSLR or mirrorless cameras using full manual settings.
- Demonstrate solid knowledge of studio lighting, composition, posing, and portrait quality.
- Import, organize, and edit images using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
- Operate and maintain studio equipment, including professional photo printers and related hardware.
- Help prepare sets by moving backdrops, props, and lighting equipment as needed.
- Identify and resolve basic camera, lighting, printer, and computer issues during sessions.
- Schedule appointments, answer client questions, and communicate professionally throughout the booking process.
- Assist with daily studio operations including point-of-sale transactions, cleaning, organization, inventory, and maintaining a welcoming studio.
- Complete opening and closing responsibilities and help keep the studio running smoothly.
Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
