Position Overview: In the absence of a Supervisor or Manager the lead is responsible for
filling in for general management responsibilities and is considered a Supervisor in waiting.
Otherwise the Lead is assigned to non-management positions as part of the regular staffing of
the store and has no direct managerial responsibility in running the shift.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Execute floor leadership-own the sale floor, greet all customers, in a professional, friendly
manner.
• Deploy staff, coordinate breaks, count down cash drawers
• Coach and develop employees in assessing customer needs.
• Stocking shelves, setting up displays, ringing up merchandise.
• Maintain merchandise and visual plan according to company policies.
• Provide constructive feedback and assists staff to solve customers’ complaints.
• Ensure all employees are properly trained according to company policies and procedures.
• Communicate to management any situations that puts our customers or employees at risk
physically or emotionally.
General Responsibilities:
• Greet all customers, in a professional, friendly manner.
• Ensure the store is well maintained, stocked, and clean at all times.
• Treat co-workers with respect and look for opportunities to help others without being
asked.
• Show up to work on time in appropriate attire and compliant with appearance policies.
• Possess adequate product knowledge to assist customers in making purchasing decisions.
• Ensure that Health, Safety, Operations, and security policies are being followed at all times
• Motivate employees, keeping them focused on the company’s mission.
• Ensure customers are satisfied with the level of service and product quality received.
• Follow all opening and closing procedures to keep the employees, inventory, cash, and
store safe and secure.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
• Must be able to move and/or lift up to 20 pounds
