Lead Sales Representative

MMD Hollywood is seeking a motivated and dependable Lead Sales Representative to join our team in Hollywood, CA. We are a fast-paced cannabis retail operation focused on delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and developing future leaders.

Location: 1515 N Cahuenga Blvd, Hollywood, CA

Compensation: $17.50–$24.50 per hour (including estimated gratuities)

Position Overview

The Lead Sales Representative serves as a key member of the leadership team and acts as a Supervisor-in-Training. In the absence of a Supervisor or Manager, the Lead helps oversee daily operations, supports staff performance, and ensures an exceptional customer experience. When management is present, the Lead works alongside the team in customer-facing roles while helping drive operational excellence and sales performance.

What You'll Do

Leadership & Operations

• Support daily store operations and maintain a positive, productive work environment.
• Assist with staff deployment, break management, and cash drawer accountability.
• Lead by example through exceptional customer service and professional conduct.
• Communicate operational issues, safety concerns, and customer feedback to management.
• Help ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and state regulations.

Sales & Customer Experience

• Welcome and engage customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Assess customer needs and provide knowledgeable product recommendations.
• Support team members in delivering outstanding service and achieving sales goals.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
• Help create a positive and memorable shopping experience for every guest.

Team Development

• Coach and support team members through feedback and on-the-job training.
• Reinforce company standards, expectations, and service procedures.
• Help motivate staff while promoting accountability and teamwork.

Store Standards

• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked sales floor.
• Assist with merchandising, inventory organization, and visual displays.
• Follow all opening and closing procedures to protect employees, inventory, cash, and company assets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of supervisory or management experience in a retail environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable attendance and professional appearance.
• Must be 21 years of age or older and able to work legally in the cannabis industry.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
• Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions including bending, reaching, and stocking merchandise.
