Our client is one of the largest and fastest-growing consumer services companies in North America, approaching $3 billion in revenue with nearly 2,000 locations across the US and Canada.
They are in the middle of a significant digital transformation senior leadership has made technology a core strategic priority, and they are building out their product organization to support it.
The Senior Technical Product Manager is responsible for owning the full product lifecycle across multiple internal applications and homegrown systems. You will serve as Product Owner on 2-5 Agile sprint teams, partnering closely with business stakeholders, engineering leads, and cross-functional teams to define outcomes, build roadmaps, and drive delivery.
This is not a coordination role it is a true product ownership seat with real influence over what gets built, how it gets prioritized, and how the product organization continues to evolve.
This is a direct hire opportunity with a hybrid schedule out of their Rosemont, IL office, requiring 3 days onsite per week.
The ideal candidate started in a technical or engineering discipline and has worked their way into product leadership, bringing the credibility to lead development conversations and business conversations equally well.
Responsibilities:
- Own and maintain product roadmaps across 6-7 active products, including business cases, opportunity assessments, and product vision
- Partner with data and engineering teams to define data requirements, support pipeline development, and ensure products are built on a foundation of accurate, accessible data
- Serve as Product Owner on Agile sprint teams, leading backlog grooming, sprint planning, story mapping, and delivery demos
- Write strong, persona-based user stories focused on business outcomes -- not task-level descriptions
- Partner with business stakeholders and process owners to gather requirements, map current and future state, and define KPIs and OKRs
- Translate business needs into technical requirements and collaborate with engineering, QA, and UX teams throughout the SDLC
- Manage relationships with both business and IT partners, leading alignment sessions, opportunity reviews, and stakeholder meetings
- Support integration of third-party platforms and custom-built solutions, including defining non-functional requirements around performance, security, and UX
- Partner with the IT PMO on project charters, resource planning, and initiative scheduling
Experience:
- 8 years in product management or product ownership, with a career foundation in a technical or engineering discipline
- Experience leveraging data and analytics to validate product direction, define KPIs, and drive stakeholder alignment around measurable business outcomes
- Demonstrated career progression from technical roles into product leadership -- this is a must
- Proven experience owning internal or homegrown system development (not just SaaS configuration or off-the-shelf tools)
- Strong Agile background with hands-on experience leading ceremonies as a Product Owner
- Working knowledge of APIs, databases, data flows, and SDLC concepts to drive decision making
- Strong user story writing skills with a persona-based, outcome-focused approach
- Experience with third-party platform integration (Workday or similar) is a plus
- Operationally complex, heavily integrated multi-site industry experience is a plus

Salary : $150,000 - $170,000
