About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our day-to-day financial operations while also assisting with key HR administrative functions. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting knowledge who enjoys hands-on bookkeeping and appreciates a diversified role that includes payroll, onboarding, and employee support tasks.
While the title is Staff Accountant, this position functions heavily in a bookkeeping capacity with added responsibility for payroll and HR coordination.
Key Responsibilities· Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory
· Assist in month-end and year-end close processes
· Maintain financial records in accordance with GAAP
· Prepare internal financial reports and support external reporting
· Support audits, tax preparation, and compliance
Payroll & HR Support· Process and manage payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
· Maintain employee time tracking and reporting systems
· Assist with new hire onboarding (documentation, system setup, orientation coordination)
· Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality
· Support benefits administration and general HR compliance tasks
· Act as a point of contact for employee questions related to payroll and basic HR matters
Qualifications· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
· 3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
· Experience processing payroll and handling employee-related administrative tasks
· Strong understanding of accounting principles
· Advanced Excel skills preferred
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize effectively
· Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
Preferred Qualifications· Proficiency in accounting and payroll software (i.e. APEX & Vista)
· Experience supporting HR functions
· Familiarity with employment compliance and payroll regulations

CompensationSalary range: [$45,000 – $65,000] depending on experience
