What are the responsibilities and job description for the PHARMACIST-MILL RUN PHARMACY position at MMC #1?
Provide safe, effective, and accurate pharmaceutical services in an independent retail environment. The ideal candidate would have a strong understanding of the retail pharmacy environment, excellent communication and problem solving skills and strongly value delivering high quality, cost effective patient care.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Review, Interpret and accurately prepare prescriptions including accurate dispensing.
- Provide appropriate counseling for medication dispensing
- Maintain accurate patient records, including patient medication history, allergies and interpretation of interactions
- Assist the manager in overseeing appropriate inventory management, ordering and restocking of medications as needed
- Provide counseling for patient's over the counter medication requests
- Address customer concerns and other medication related questions
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state pharmacy codes and regulations
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals throughout the healthcare system where needed
- Licensed, trained and comfortable in immunization of patients and maintenance of CPR certification
- Oversee and direct pharmacy technician staff
- Manage and maintain controlled substance records including dispensing in accordance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations
- All other pharmacy tasks as assigned by the pharmacy manager
Primary work environment would be the Mill Run Community Pharmacy, but may also staff as needed at Cochranton Community Pharmacy. Rotating shifts with every third weekend required.
