We’re looking for an experienced Senior Controller to join our growing Client Accounting Services team.
This is a hands-on accounting leadership role. You’ll work directly with the Managing Partner, taking ownership of complex accounting engagements, preparing and reviewing financial statements, building budgets and forecasts, and supporting CFO advisory services.
As our firm continues to grow, this position is designed to evolve into an Accounting Manager role with opportunities to mentor staff, improve processes, and help build our Client Accounting Services department.

Your Mission
Provide exceptional accounting and financial reporting while helping build the systems, processes, and foundation that will support the future growth of our Client Accounting Services team.
Primary Responsibilities
Client Accounting
- Manage a portfolio of complex client accounting engagements.
- Perform and oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Ensure financial reporting is accurate, timely, and consistent.
- Research and resolve complex accounting issues.
- Assist with multi-entity accounting and financial consolidations when applicable.
- Financial Analysis & Advisory Support
- Build budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Prepare KPI dashboards and operational reporting.
- Assist with cash flow reporting and financial analysis.
- Support CFO and advisory engagements through accurate financial reporting and business insights.
- Identify trends, variances, and opportunities that help clients make informed business decisions.
Technology & Process Improvement
- Utilize advanced accounting technology to improve efficiency and reporting.
- Build financial models and dashboards using Microsoft Excel and Jirav.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting within Jirav or similar financial planning platforms.
- Help implement new technology and improve accounting workflows.
- Leverage AI and automation tools to improve productivity and reporting.
- Quality & Leadership
- Review work prepared by accounting staff and provide guidance when needed.
- Help develop standardized workpapers and operating procedures.
- Support the onboarding and mentoring of future accounting team members.
- Participate in building a scalable Client Accounting Services department as the firm grows.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Five or more years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements.
- Experience managing month-end close.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills Required
This role requires advanced Excel skills and daily use of Microsoft Excel.
Candidates must be proficient in:
- Pivot Tables
- XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP
- SUMIFS and advanced formulas
- INDEX/MATCH or equivalent lookup functions
- Financial modeling
- Budget development
- Dashboard creation
- Data analysis
- Large data set management
- Complex reconciliations and supporting schedules
Excel proficiency will be evaluated during the interview process.
Technology Experience
- Preferred experience includes:
- QuickBooks Online
- Jirav or similar budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A software
- Microsoft 365
- Cloud-based accounting systems
- AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar technologies
A passion for learning new technology and improving efficiency through automation is highly valued.
