The Bindery Manager is to help make MM Packaging the best in the industry by achieving obtainable and measurable results in meeting department goals and providing leadership to all employees to ensure employee and company needs are met. This position is a key management position and will require a high degree of excellence and commitment to assure results. This position is responsible for all Bindery Supervisors.
What You’ll Do:
- Ensuring employee safety through effective leadership and enforcement of company policies.
- Assist in the development and implementations of employee training programs.
- Achieving daily production schedules.
- Assisting production employees and helping meet company needs.
- Authorizing (budgeted) employee overtime to meet production schedules.
- Preparing and giving performance appraisals.
- Provide training, coaching, and counseling to employees to achieve department’s goals.
- Product quality as delivered to the customer.
- Achieving maximum production efficiencies in the bindery.
- Ensuring a world class preventative maintenance program for all production equipment in the bindery is developed, implemented, and monitored for effectiveness.
- Providing leadership to all production department and being a role model for all to follow.
- Evaluating and recommending equipment purchases and upgrades for the bindery.
- Give input in setting department goals, then monitor and chart progress of the department meeting their goals.
- Resolving employee conflicts through effective leadership.
- Interviewing and recommending new hires.
- Recommending employee discipline and terminations.
- Giving appropriate and timely positive and negative feedback to all employees.
- Ensuring development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives for the bindery.
- Supports management in an honorable and professional manner.
- Assisting QA department in investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions as required for customer complaints and rejects.
- Assist QA department in writing and revision SOPs.
What You’ll Bring
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Supervisor experience required.
- Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical printing or packaging industry desired.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills required.
