Responsibilities
- Coordinate plumbing project activities, ensuring timely execution and adherence to project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 and construction scheduling software.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate procurement, delivery, and installation of plumbing systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to verify compliance with design specifications.
- Assist in construction estimating processes by providing accurate material takeoffs and cost assessments utilizing HeavyBid or similar estimating software.
- Monitor construction site progress, conducting site visits to ensure quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to plans.
- Manage documentation related to contracts, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and submittals using Bluebeam or equivalent digital tools.
- Support project scheduling efforts by updating timelines, tracking milestones, and resolving potential delays proactively.
- Facilitate communication between field teams and office staff to ensure smooth project flow and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain comprehensive records of project activities, including daily logs, inspection reports, and safety documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management or project coordination within the plumbing or broader construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction site practices, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and contracts management.
- Proficiency with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6 (or Primavera), Civil 3D, HeavyBid, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with project scheduling techniques and tools like Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling software.
- Experience with construction estimating processes and cost control measures.
- Ability to read technical schematics and understand plumbing systems within large-scale projects.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating among diverse teams including subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and clients.
- Construction site experience is highly preferred; familiarity with safety protocols is essential.
