Education: Graduation from an ACPE-accredited pharmacy school and licensure as a registered pharmacist. Minimum two years of hospital-based clinical pharmacy experience.
Licenses or Certifications: Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY-2 oncology pharmacy residency is highly preferred. Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification in oncology (BCOP) is also highly desired.
Work Shift: First shift, full-time position.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized clinical pharmacy services tailored to oncology patients.
- Develop, implement, and maintain oncology clinical pharmacy programs.
- Review, prepare, and monitor oncology medication regimens for safety and efficacy.
- Collaborate with medical staff to identify and resolve medication-related issues, promoting safe and cost-effective therapies.
- Provide clinical consultation and suggest therapeutic alternatives when appropriate.
- Monitor drug therapies for contraindications, interactions, allergies, and dosing accuracy.
- Educate healthcare professionals and patients on oncology pharmaceutical care and drug therapies.
- Participate in oncology-related clinical projects annually.
- Report adverse drug reactions promptly and document all clinical interventions thoroughly.
- Contribute to departmental quality and operational effectiveness.
- Comply with federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations.

- Supervise dissemination of drug information through staff education and consultations.
- Support pharmacy staff in routine and specialized oncology-related duties.
- Provide professional guidance related to oncology patient care.
- Maintain patient records to ensure safe and appropriate drug therapy.
- Engage in clinical rounds and patient care meetings as needed.
- Lead updates to oncology pharmacy processes and patient care initiatives.
- Deliver oncology therapy education to staff and patients.
