Bilingual HR Specialist – Employee Relations

Location: PortMiami, FL
Schedule: Monday–Friday (Flexibility for extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed)

Position Summary

We are seeking a Bilingual HR Specialist – Employee Relations to join our Human Resources team. This role is responsible for managing employee relations matters, conducting workplace investigations, supporting performance management, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.

The ideal candidate is an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, exercises sound judgment, and builds strong partnerships with employees and leaders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of employee relations matters, including coaching managers, progressive discipline, performance management, and policy interpretation.
• Conduct workplace investigations involving harassment, discrimination, employee complaints, and policy violations while ensuring compliance with EEOC and employment laws.
• Prepare investigation summaries, disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans (PIPs), and other employee relations documentation.
• Partner with managers to resolve employee concerns and promote a positive workplace culture.
• Support employee separations, including documentation, termination meetings, and exit interviews.
• Track and analyze employee relations metrics, including turnover, disciplinary actions, and workplace concerns.
• Assist with HR compliance initiatives, internal audits, and policy updates.
• Collaborate with HR leadership on complex employee relations issues and provide well-supported recommendations.
• Support HR initiatives, including benefits administration, workers' compensation, and recruiting activities as needed.
• Stay current on federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices.
• Assist with company events and other HR projects as assigned.

QualificationsRequired

• Minimum 2 years of HR Generalist experience with a strong emphasis on:
• Employee Relations
• Workplace Investigations
• Progressive Discipline
• Performance Management
• Employee Coaching
• Experience conducting workplace investigations involving harassment, discrimination, and employee complaints.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Experience preparing employee relations documentation, including:
• Written warnings
• Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs)
• Investigation summaries
• Corrective action documentation
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or current SHRM certification (PHR, SPHR, GPHR, or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP).
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word and Outlook).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
• IF Statements
• VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
• Pivot Tables
• COUNTIFS
• Conditional Formatting
• Complex Formulas
• Reporting
• Ability to obtain a TWIC Card within 30 days of employment.

Preferred

• Experience supporting high-volume operational or industrial environments.
• Experience managing multiple employee relations cases simultaneously.
• Experience with HRIS systems.
• Experience preparing documentation for legal matters or responding to employment counsel requests.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
