Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers via phone and email
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding quotes, order status, lead times, pricing, and delivery
- Provide professional, prompt, and accurate communication
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Resolve customer concerns in a timely and courteous manner
- Accurately enter customer purchase orders into ERP/software system
- Verify pricing, quantities, material specifications, and due dates
- Review drawings and part revisions for accuracy
- Coordinate with estimating and production to confirm feasibility and timelines
- Issue order confirmations to customers
- Process order changes, revisions, and cancellations
- Communicate customer requirements to production team
- Ensure jobs are released properly to the floor
- Track open orders and monitor progress
- Assist in prioritizing jobs based on customer deadlines
- Work with shipping to coordinate delivery schedules
- Maintain organized digital and physical job files
- Track revisions and maintain accurate documentation
- Assist with quoting follow-ups
- Support management with reports and order tracking
- Ensure compliance with company procedures
- Previous customer service experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
- Order entry experience strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to read basic manufacturing drawings (preferred but not required)
- Comfortable working with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
