Tube Laser Operator – 1st & 3rd Shift

We are hiring BLM Tube Laser Operators for a leading steel fabrication and processing company in Charlotte, NC.

If you have hands-on experience operating BLM tube/pipe laser cutting equipment and are comfortable working from blueprints in a precision manufacturing environment, we want to hear from you.

PAY & SCHEDULE

• $25.00–$27.00 per hour, based on experience
• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
• 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:30AM
• Full-time position
• Immediate openings

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and operate tube laser cutting equipment to produce steel parts to specification
• Read and follow blueprints, fabrication drawings, weld drawings, and production work orders
• Load steel tube, pipe, and structural material into the machine and safely remove completed parts
• Monitor the cutting process and make necessary machine adjustments to maintain quality, accuracy, and production efficiency
• Inspect finished parts and verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools
• Identify and correct basic machine or cutting issues to minimize downtime and material waste
• Perform routine equipment care and preventive maintenance, including nozzle changes and lens cleaning
• Use forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment as needed
• Follow established quality and safety procedures while maintaining an organized work area

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 1 year of Tube laser operating experience required
• Tube/pipe laser experience strongly preferred
• Experience with BLM tube laser equipment is highly preferred
• Previous experience in steel fabrication, metal processing, or manufacturing preferred
• Blueprint and fabrication drawing reading experience required
• Forklift experience required
• Ability to accurately use calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work safely around steel, machinery, forklifts, and overhead cranes
• High school diploma or equivalent required
