Description
Position Summary
The Loan Officer Assistant is primarily responsible for coordinating the efficient processing of loans by working with internal stakeholders and borrowers.
Essential Job Functions
Support and comply with all Company policies and consistently adhere to Company mission statement
Demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism to both internal and external clients
Provide weekly planner to management, adhering to Company requirements
Maintain open and consistent communication with sales staff, management and customers
Attend Company mandated industry events and staff meetings
Attend scheduled quarterly meetings with Operations Manager
Attend marketing presentations as directed by Branch Manager Executive.
Complete scan/quality control of files
Survey borrowers with regard to service received and their overall experience
Verify key information and request missing documents from borrowers
Contact with borrowers cannot include soliciting or originating mortgage loans, including but not limited to discussions regarding loan programs, interest rate and in any loan terms.
Notify Loan Originator as appropriate at each stage in the process
Review loan commitment and distribute to attorney, Loan Originator and borrower
Follow quality control policies and procedures
Notify supervisor of any issues or discrepancies identified in the loan file
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of work area
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications
1-2 Years’ experience in the residential lending industry preferred
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
Associates degree preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, including managing files and records
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and stay organized in a fast paced environment
Ability to work well in a high energy, deadline-driven environment
Ability to be resourceful and find alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
Basic math aptitude, sufficient to add, subtract, multiply and divide
Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
