DeFi Market Analyst - Risk & Innovation

Location: Remote - Preference for NYC - Will accept Remote Europe & USA to work EST

Compensation: $120K - $150K

We are a technology company that builds cutting-edge risk management systems, oracles, and AI models to make markets safer and more accessible. Our platform is trusted by leading protocols in decentralized finance (DeFi), securing and managing billions of dollars in assets. We are seeking a talented DeFi Market Analyst to join our team, reporting directly to the Innovation Lead, to help shape the future of decentralized finance.

As a DeFi Market Analyst, you will be crucial in expanding our trading capabilities, optimizing incentive programs, and providing actionable quantitative insights. This role requires a strong blend of market research, quantitative analysis, and operational efficiency to improve execution quality across our platform.

Responsibilities:

• Perform in-depth research into emerging protocols, tokens, and ecosystems to expand trading capabilities and identify high-impact opportunities
• Conduct post-trade and quantitative performance analysis to surface trends, inefficiencies, and actionable insights
• Design, implement, and scale operational workflows, controls, and automation frameworks to improve execution quality and efficiency
• Analyze the DeFi incentivization landscape and provide actionable recommendations around best practices in different contexts
• Develop Growth & Incentive Analytics to accurately track and optimize the performance of incentive programs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality output and contribute to the continuous improvement of our platform
  
  

Requirements

• Experience: Proven experience in DeFi research, yield generation, DeFi incentive program management, or a related field, with significant exposure to the DeFi space
• Data Skills: Ability to work with blockchain data tools such as Allium, Dune, and Subgraphs
• Coding: Comfortable running and modifying Python scripts, and capable of writing basic Python scripts for data fetching and normalization for analysis purposes
• Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of clearly compiling and presenting analysis findings to clients and internal teams
• Mindset: Strong problem-solving abilities and a genuine passion for DeFi and blockchain technology
• Collaboration: A team player with the ability to work effectively with clients and internal teams to refine product offerings
  
  

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves):

• Location: Based in NYC with the ability to work from our Brooklyn office, or the ability to work remotely within the USA, with travel up to 30% of the year to collaborate in person
• Domain Expertise: A background in trading, including experience building models and a deep understanding of derivatives, pricing, financial markets, and systems
• Proactivity: A strong personal interest in DeFi, with a continuous drive to stay at the forefront of protocol developments
• Proficiency: Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Environment: Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
