Electrical Engineering Intern Overview
Hourly Pay: $35.00 per hour. This rate is a good faith estimate based on qualifications, experience, and business needs.
Benefits: MKS offers a benefits package for interns/co-ops working at least 20 hours per week, including 11 paid holidays, sick time, and 15 paid vacation days accrued on a biweekly basis.

Electrical Engineering Intern Overview
- 3 months intern (06/01-08/28) in Milpitas CA that provides student a comprehensive and engaging experience from before your program starts to after the program ends.

- Assisting experienced engineers with various design tasks, including circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout.
- Conducting hands-on laboratory work, setting up experiments, using test equipment like oscilloscopes, collecting and analyzing data, and troubleshooting circuits and systems.
- Supporting prototype testing and validation to ensure designs meet functional and safety requirements.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and participating in technical meetings to understand project planning and implementation.
- Contributing to the entire product lifecycle from concept to production.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and assisting with design reviews.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering or a related field (e.g., Physics).
- Solid understanding of core electrical engineering principles, including circuit theory, analog and digital design fundamentals, and power systems.
- Hands-on experience working with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, function generators, and power supplies.
- Familiarity with at least one CAD software for creating schematics and layouts (e.g., Altium Designer).
- Exposure to circuit simulation software like LTspice and technical computing languages such as Python.
- Experience with prototype assembly techniques, such as soldering or building cable assemblies.
- Prior experience in EE project and lab work or experience related to optics.
