Position Summary
This role focuses on driving revenue growth by developing new business opportunities and strengthening existing client relationships. Success in this position requires proactive prospecting, consultative selling, and the ability to identify and close commercial HVAC service and project opportunities. The ideal candidate brings technical HVAC knowledge, a proven sales background, and the ability to establish trusted, long-term partnerships with commercial decision-makers.
Core Responsibilities
Market & Relationship Development
- Establish and grow relationships with building owners, facility leaders, property managers, engineers, and contractors.
- Source new opportunities through outbound outreach, referrals, networking, and industry engagement.
- Lead discovery meetings, presentations, and on-site evaluations to understand customer challenges and objectives.
Sales & Project Execution
- Identify opportunities for system upgrades, replacements, and retrofit projects by aligning customer needs with appropriate solutions.
- Partner with internal operations, engineering, and estimating teams to develop accurate proposals and deliver value-driven solutions.
- Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract execution.
Required Experience & Skills
- At least three years of B2B sales experience within commercial HVAC, mechanical services, or related building systems industries.
- Background selling service agreements and/or HVAC capital projects strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of commercial HVAC equipment, applications, and industry best practices.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve or exceed sales objectives.
- Highly organized, self-directed, and effective at managing multiple priorities.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and service management or estimating platforms (e.g., Timberline or similar).
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Central Virginia.
- Comfortable operating independently while collaborating in a performance-oriented environment.
