Role Description The Licensed Loan Officer will work on-site in Fresno, CA, meeting with clients to assess their mortgage and refinancing needs, explain available loan programs, and recommend appropriate products. This role includes guiding applicants through the loan application process, collecting and verifying documentation, and ensuring compliance with lending regulations and company policies. The Loan Officer will collaborate with underwriting, processing, and closing teams to move loans efficiently from application to funding, while maintaining clear communication with clients throughout. Daily responsibilities also involve generating new business through networking and outreach, maintaining accurate records in loan origination systems, and staying informed about current mortgage products and market trends.
Qualifications
- Active mortgage loan originator license (NMLS) in good standing, with experience in residential mortgage lending and refinancing.
- Knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA, Conventional, Jumbo, and Non-QM mortgage products, including DSCR, multifamily, condo, condotel, bridge, and rental loans.
- Proficiency in loan origination systems, documentation review, and regulatory compliance, including federal and state lending laws.
- Strong client service skills, with the ability to explain complex financial products clearly and support borrowers through the application process.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to develop new business and maintain referral partnerships.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple loan files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work on-site in Fresno, CA, and collaborate with internal teams across processing, underwriting, and closing.
- Prior experience in mortgage lending, banking, or financial services; bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
