We’re looking for a Structural Engineer to join our team at our Overland Park, KS location (in office). This individual will assist with the design of a variety of industrial projects that may include equipment foundations, pipe racks, vessel replacements, etc., and commercial projects that may include schools, churches, hospitals, hotels, office buildings, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the design and production of detailed design drawings, electronic models, specifications, written reports, and site observation reports.
- Complete structural calculations with different design materials, specifically with steel and concrete.
- Assist in the selection of the appropriate building materials.
- Prepare cost estimates for capital projects.
- Prepare and assist with project proposals, interviews, and client presentations.
- Attend client meetings to ensure the design meets their needs and objectives.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to production staff.
Requirements:
- B.S. in Civil/Structural or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 3-6 years of relevant experience.
- PE license in Kansas is preferred (or on track to obtain a PE license).
- Exposure to Structural Drafting software (AutoCAD, CadWorx, Revit, etc.).
- Exposure to Structural Analysis software (RISA, etc.).
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple project tasks. Excellent presentation, written communication, time management, and organizational skills are required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to work under pressure, be self-directed, exhibit good business judgment, and handle confidential information appropriately.
- Compliance with MKEC and client drug/alcohol and safety programs.
