The candidate should be confident in communicating regularly with the client in order to assess their needs and be able to adjust a given approach based on feedback. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Developing design concepts, which will include: mood boards, overall look & feel of the space, spatial design, test fits, renderings, and putting design packages together
-Participating in programming, visioning and site assessment tasks
- Selecting FF&E
-Leading and managing teams of Junior Designers on some projects
-Attending meetings and managing client expectations
-Coordinating with outside consultants and vendors
-Working on multiple projects of all sizes and complexities within set deadlines
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Bachelors or Master’s degree in Interior Design. CID, IIDA, ASID, LEED and WELL a plus.
-3 to 8 years of professional working experience in corporate interior design
-Highly proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, and 3D Rendering, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Microsoft Office. Experience with Enscape, Lumion, or 3ds Max is a plus.
-Experience with creating and understanding project documentation, including Design Development and Construction Sets
-Good understanding of interior finishes, materials, furniture, lighting, fixtures, and FF&E schedules and budgets
-Proficiency in millwork detailing and specifications and reviewing shop drawings
-Basic knowledge of current building codes including ADA requirements
-Ability to work well with colleagues, clients, vendors, and construction managers.
-Excellent presentation skills and strong communication skills
-Strong management, organizational and problem solving skills, and ability to handle multiple deadlines.
-Must have experience working in and currently reside in the NY Tri-State Area or be willing to relocate.
