Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Duties
- Interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate components according to specifications.
- Operate various power tools and machinery such as press brake machines, plasma cutters, and machining tools to shape and assemble metal parts.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and
welding techniques to join sheet metal and other materials securely. - Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and schematics to ensure dimensional accuracy throughout fabrication processes.
- Cut, bend, assemble, and install ductwork, piping, or structural elements following ASME codes & standards for safety and quality compliance.
- Conduct rigging operations for lifting heavy components using cranes or forklifts while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of fabrication activities, inspections, and quality checks to ensure traceability and compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience working on construction sites or in manufacturing environments with a focus on fabrication tasks.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, FCAW welding techniques along with experience in
welding processes. - Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings essential for precise fabrication.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with rigging procedures involving cranes or forklifts for lifting and positioning heavy materials.
- Basic math skills including measurements, calculations for material dimensions, and understanding of ASME codes & standards.
- Mechanical knowledge related to pipe threading, soldering, assembly processes, and ductwork fabrication.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to interpret schematics accurately while maintaining high safety standards.
