About the Role
MKC Threads is a growing custom print and embroidery shop specializing in high-quality apparel and branded merchandise. We work with schools, small businesses, organizations, and brands to bring their ideas to life.
We’re looking for a Part-Time Laser Cutter & Embroidery Machine Operator to join our team. This role primarily focuses on operating our laser cutting machine to cut appliqué and fabric pieces used in embroidery. You’ll also support the embroidery team as needed.
This is a hands-on role in a creative production environment. No prior experience is required, we provide full training.
Key Responsibilities
Laser Cutting
- Operate the embroidery laser machine to cut tackle twill patches, fabrics, and other materials as per order specifications.
- Select and load materials into the laser cutter, ensuring proper alignment and setup.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet production schedules and address any challenges.
- Monitor the cutting process, adjusting as needed to maintain quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety guidelines.
- Assist with other production tasks as needed.
Embroidery Support
- Place appliqué patches onto garments for embroidery
- Trim loose threads
