Mid Kansas Cooperative (MKC) is seeking an Agronomy Operations Manager to lead agronomy operations across assigned locations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service for our customers. This role provides leadership for application operations, inventory management, regulatory compliance, and employee development while supporting the growth of MKC's agronomy business.
What You'll Do- Lead day-to-day agronomy operations, including spray rigs, tender trucks, and application services.
- Supervise, train, and develop spray rig operators and tender truck drivers.
- Oversee inventory management for seed, fertilizer, and crop protection products.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and MKC safety standards.
- Maintain application quality and resolve customer concerns in a timely manner.
- Partner with agronomy sales teams to support customer success and territory growth.
- Manage budgets and operational performance for assigned locations.
- Strong leadership and team management experience.
- Knowledge of agronomy operations, including application equipment, crop inputs, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with inventory control, safety programs, and operational planning.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements and Custom Applicator License preferred or ability to obtain.
- Combination of office and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Hands-on leadership role with operational responsibilities and seasonal demands.
