MK Therapy Services is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide school-based services for 4 days a week in an elementary building for fourth and fifth graders. This position primarily supports two Autistic Support classrooms as well as students receiving Learning Support services.
The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of school-based pediatric experience, including working with students with autism spectrum disorder, and is skilled in developing and implementing individualized programs targeting sensory regulation, fine motor, visual-motor, self-care, and school participation skills.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate students and provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services in accordance with IEPs.
- Conduct assessments and prepare written evaluation reports.
- Develop measurable IEP goals and objectives.
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to support student success.
- Consult with educational staff regarding sensory regulation, motor development, self-care skills, classroom accommodations, adaptive equipment, and assistive technology as needed.
- Provide training and support to general education staff, special education staff, paraprofessionals, and families on effective intervention strategies.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and comply with all state, district, and professional standards.
Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
