What are the responsibilities and job description for the Specialty Infusion Account Manager position at MK INFUSION PHARMACY LLC?
Specialty Infusion Account Manager (Alabama Territory)
MK Infusion Pharmacy
At MK Infusion Pharmacy, we’re not just in healthcare—we’re in the people business. Every day, we have the privilege of caring for patients living with autoimmune disorders and complex chronic conditions, and we take that responsibility personally.
We believe great care starts with great relationships. That means picking up the phone, doing the extra work behind the scenes, and making sure no patient or provider ever feels like just a number. Our mission is simple: deliver exceptional infusion therapy with compassion, collaboration, and clinical expertise—every single time.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Specialty Infusion Account Manager who thrives on building relationships, solving problems, and making a real impact.
This is a field-based, highly consultative role where you’ll partner closely with providers, office staff, our pharmacy team, and manufacturer partners to help patients access life-changing IVIG and specialty therapies—without unnecessary delays or barriers.
You won’t just “manage accounts”—you’ll own the patient journey, helping guide providers and their teams from referral all the way to therapy start.
Territory: Montgomery to Huntsville, Alabama
Travel: Minimal overnight travel
What You’ll Do
- Be the go-to partner for providers and their teams—making the referral-to-therapy process smooth, fast, and frustration-free
- Help patients get started on IVIG and specialty therapies by removing access barriers and accelerating timelines
- Educate physicians, nurses, and office staff on therapy options and how we support their patients
- Grow IVIG and specialty pharmacy utilization by delivering a high-touch, service-first experience
- Lead meaningful conversations with practices—reviewing trends, solving access challenges, and identifying growth opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams and manufacturer partners to ensure everything works seamlessly behind the scenes
- Operate with integrity and professionalism, always putting patients and compliance first
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years in healthcare sales or account management
- 3 years in specialty pharmacy, biologics, or infused therapies
- Experience navigating payer access, prior authorizations, and complex therapies (IVIG, biologics, etc.)
- A proven track record of delivering results in a consultative, relationship-driven role
Preferred:
- Background in home infusion or ambulatory infusion
- Experience in neurology, immunology, rheumatology, or GI
- Familiarity with IVIG dosing, indications, and site-of-care strategy
- Experience working alongside manufacturer account teams
What Sets You Apart
- You build trust easily and naturally with physicians and office staff
- You’re organized, proactive, and don’t wait for problems—you solve them
- You can take complex clinical or access information and make it simple and actionable
- You’re driven, but you lead with service, not pressure
- You take pride in doing things the right way—with integrity and accountability
Compensation
- Base Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 (based on experience)
- Total Earnings: $135,000 – $250,000 annually
- Incentives: Uncapped commission plan that grows with you. Top in the industry.
- Auto Allowance plus fuel reimbursement.
Why MK Infusion?
- We’re a family-owned pharmacy—not corporate, not bureaucratic
- Your work directly impacts patients’ lives every single day
- You’ll be part of a tight-knit, supportive team that truly enjoys what we do
- We value your voice, your ideas, and your contributions
- You’ll have the flexibility and autonomy to succeed without being micromanaged
At MK Infusion, we don’t just fill prescriptions—we show up for people. If that’s the kind of work that drives you, we’d love to talk.
