Duties
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily after-school activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to create a positive environment.
- Coordinate with assistant teachers and staff to ensure smooth program operations and adherence to schedules.
- Implement first aid protocols and respond promptly to minor injuries or emergencies using CPR and AED procedures.
- Facilitate youth group activities, sports, arts, theater, and other enrichment programs tailored to various age groups.
- Maintain clear communication with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and program updates.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
- Certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED operation is required; ongoing training preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Ability to lead outdoor work activities safely and effectively in various weather conditions.
- Experience in special education or working with children with diverse needs is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated team leadership abilities with excellent communication skills.
