Preconstruction Coordinator
Company: MJS Concrete Inc.
Schedule: Full-Time (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Thursday with early stop time on Fridays)
Position Overview
We’re looking for a Preconstruction Coordinator who understands construction and can help keep the front end of our projects organized, accurate, and moving.
This is not a passive administrative role. This position works closely with estimating and operations to support bidding, track proposals, and help ensure projects are set up correctly from day one.
If you’re comfortable reading plans, managing multiple deadlines, and taking ownership of your work—this role has strong growth potential into estimating or project management.
What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting the Estimating Process
- Assist Estimator with proposal preparation, scope organization, and bid packaging
- Review drawings and specifications to understand project scope
- Help gather pricing and supporting information for bids
Owning Bid Coordination
- Track all active bids, deadlines, and submission requirements
- Ensure proposals are complete, accurate, and submitted on time
- Follow up on open bids and maintain clear status updates
Setting Projects Up for Success
- Turn awarded bids into complete and organized job files
- Make sure all required documentation is in place before project start
- Help bridge communication between estimating and operations
Handling Preconstruction Documentation
- Research permits, NOCs, and project requirements
- Keep documentation relating organized and accessible
What We’re Looking For
- Construction experience — concrete/site work a plus
- Comfortable working with plans, scopes, and project details
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple moving deadlines
- Proactive — you don’t wait to be told what to do
- Strong communication and follow-through
Qualifications
- 1–3 years in construction, estimating support, or project coordination
- Basic understanding of construction drawings and terminology
- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and general office systems
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with takeoffs or estimating software
- Familiarity with permitting, NTOs, or lien law
- Exposure to job costing or project budgets
Pay: $52,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
