About the Role:
In this hybrid role of Lead Carpenter/Assistant Project Manager at MJR Remodeling & Building, you’ll take ownership of high-quality residential projects from start to finish. You’ll work hands-on while leading small crews, ensuring that jobs are completed on time, on budget, and to our high standards of craftsmanship and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Lead residential remodeling and new construction projects on-site
- Read and interpret blueprints and plans
- Perform high-quality carpentry, including framing, finish work, and cabinetry installation
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers
- Maintain job site cleanliness, safety, and organization
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management
- Mentor junior carpenters and laborers
Qualifications:
- 5 years of residential carpentry experience, including leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of all phases of residential construction
- Ability to work independently and manage project timelines
- Exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification a plus
- Tools and basic equipment required
